He specializes in representing restaurant operators and small business owners in commercial lease negotiations and site selection, bringing a rare combination of legal expertise and nearly two decades of hands-on operating experience.

Before joining Holiner, Brooks owned and operated some of Dallas's most recognized restaurant concepts, including Veritas Wine Room, Boulevardier, Rapscallion, and Hillside Tavern. As both a licensed attorney and real estate agent, he brings a dual perspective to lease negotiations, landlord relations, and regulatory navigation that few brokers can offer.

Brooks has lived in Dallas since 1980 and holds a JD and an active Texas real estate license.

Outside of work, he trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, studies politics and history, and spends time with his wife, Kate, and their son, Xander. He also operates Veritas Wine Tours.
